Hello Chippagiri Karthik, If your branch is not Computer Science Engineering and if you need job in software companies then you must have skills in software design and its application like knows programming languages like C, C++, Java etc.you should have done internships in software based companies and should have basic knowledge of Computer Science Engineering. In college placement interview there are some software based companies which allows students from every branch to sit, you can get jobs in these companies, but should have enough skills to get job in theae companies.

That will depend upon your skills as you are not from computer science field and want to appear for software jobs , to accept you over a cse candidate, you must have some type of edge over him. But yes you can get software jobs equal to cse students. Go for internship in cs field, or do a diploma or something

Hello student. Kindly mention your department. Usually the jobs which prefer cse students they go for IT students , ICT students. In some or more cases ece students.

Core tech companies like Amazon will go for the above branches given.

companies like Tcs,  cts,  wipro, etc ofcourse they go for other branches like civil, mechanical, electrical so on and so forth

Your job depends upon your CV.The more achievements you have the more good is the job that you get.

Well a cs student in your college will have more job opportunities that a non cse student.

But if the same company visits your branch and you have immense knowledge about various languages that a CSE student uses,then there are chances that you may get placed at that company.

You can ask your seniors what are the requirements for a particular company and if they visit your branch you can sit for the placement drive and get a job

All you need is that extra knowledge that a CSE student has
