The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) serves as the governing body responsible for overseeing the education system in CBSE-affiliated schools. The NCERT is a an autonomous organisation of the Government of India that produces textbooks designed for different board schools. It is worth noting that a majority of CBSE-affiliated schools utilise NCERT textbooks as they comprehensively cover all the subjects included in the CBSE syllabus.
