Hello applicant,

* I understood your doubt   that is whether you are eligible to write the IAS exam after completing the b. tech in civils right. I will explain you detailly .

*To become eligible for the UPSC  exam you must have completed graduation from any recognized university,

*It does not matter in which stream you completed your graduation so therefore you can apply after graduation in civils.

*Below is the eligibility criteria :-

1. Age The candidate must have attained the ageof 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years (for the General category candidate) on 1 August of the year of examination. Prescribed age limits vary with respect to caste reservations. For Other Backward Castes (OBC) the upper age limit is 35 years.

2. Candidates appearing at UPSC Civil Services examination shall be permitted a maximum of six attempts, which means the candidates who have appeared for the IAS examination for six times will not be considered eligible for UPSC CSE. Moreover, the OBC candidates can appear for a maximum of nine times .and candidates belonging to SC and ST category are exempted rom the attempts cause of UPSC Civil Services exam.
