It is the ability to defend or to fight against diseases. This immunity concept is further divided into two parts active immunity and passive immunity.

This active immunity occurs when our own immune system is responsible for protecting us from a pathogen.

Passive immunity occurs when we are protected from a pathogen by immunity gained from someone.

Apart from this there is a third category which is community immunity, they do not involve physical components of the immune system for protection.

Immunity is divided into 2 types -

1. Acquired immunity

2. Innate immunity

Then acquired immunity is the form of immunity that person adapt during lifetime, it's also called as adaptive immunity. When someone get some infection then body forms antibodies against that infection ( bacteria or virus)  . While innate immunity is the immunity which an infact gets already at the time of birth also known as natural immunity. As it's not developed during lifetime while it's already present and innate immunity is also called as first line defense.

Hello shafiya1137 , From some research on internet about the deep knowledge of immunity I found that there are two types of immunities are there both are following:

• Active Immunity.
• Passive Immunity.

Both have there importance but both are for protecting our body from diseases.
