The BCom course is imparted in three categories, that are, BCom-General, BCom Honours , and BCom LLB. Both BCom General and BCom honours can be pursued from regular as well as BCom distance college. The primary BCom subjects that are taught over these three years course are Accountancy, Taxation, Financial Accounting, Company Law, Business Economics, Cost Accounting, etc. Aspirants are also given the choice to choose from elective subjects such as Indian Business Environment, Principles of Marketing, India’s Diversity and Business, Business Ethics, ERP Applications, International Business, AI, etc. BCom admission is done based on the merit of the applicant’s class 12 or similar level exam result. To be eligible for admission, students need to complete their class 12 examination from commerce or science stream with minimum of 50% marks. Though, some colleges also conduct entrance exams for BCom students such as IPU-CET, DUET, etc. On average, the BCom course fee ranges from INR 20,000-to INR 50,000 on average for regular colleges. For BCom distance education, the course fee is between INR 4,000 and INR 9,000.
