Dear sir, I am student of bsc(physics honours), chem, and maths are subsidiary. please tell me which subject should I read for iim interview. can i have to study only physics for iim interview?
Dear Aspirant,
The Indian Institutes of Management consist of 20 autonomous and public institutes of management education and research in India. They primarily offer postgraduate, doctoral and executive education programmes.
To have reached the stage of appearing for your IIM interview, you have aced your CAT results and you would be a shortlisted candidate. It requires hard work and preparation to ace the CAT and if you have, you have passed through a major stage of your IIM journey.
The Personal interview isn't as tough as it looks like. There are however no specific sets of questions that you will be asked. You being a student of Bsc(Physics Honours) chem, and maths as subsidiaries , need to focus on your domain. Since your specialisation is Physics, know all the concepts taught in the three years of your graduation from head to toe. Clarity of concept and confidence is one of the aspects which can easily impress an interviewer.
Expect questions from Physics but since Chemistry and Maths are your subsidiaries , it will be the best for you to revise important topics.
Interviewers are also keen for candidates who are well aware of themselves and their surroundings. Having a hold on general knowledge and current affairs show that you are capable of looking at problem solving from a multi-approach perspective.
Also, it is very important to be able to justify each and every point on your resume. Do not mention anything in your cover letter or resume that you do not have substantial evidence for. Make sure you are completely honest and know the specific details.
Do not expect the interview to be completely based on academics. Interviewers are always interested on knowing the skills and other related interests of the interviewee.
