Hello Aspirant,

Electric current density is defined as the amount of charge flowing through a unit area of cross section.

J = I/A

Where J is current density and A is area of cross section.

Relation between current density and electric field

I = V/R

R = pl/A

I/A = V/pl

J = &E

Where & is sigma which is equal to 1/p

I have to write this ' &' sign instead of sigma because i am not able to find sigma key in my keyboard.

I hope the above information is beneficial for you.

All the best.
