Did I get call from IIM ?
The IIMs have a rigorous process of filtering only the creamy layer of students from about 2 lakh applicants every year.
1)CAT(Common Admission Test): Conducted by one IIM every year on a rotational basis. It tests your knowledge of English and your aptitude coupled with breathtaking speed and sheer efficiency.
2)WAT(Writting Ability Test): It tests the writing ability of the students, and their method and degree of persuasiveness.Gerting a stronghold on thesis statements are a must to qualify this stage.
3)GD(Group Discussion):Here the filtered candidates from the CAT are made to sit in a room and speak on a random topic chosen by the interviewer. The more one speaks, the better. Here, your ability to draw the attention of one and all in the room is tested.
4)PI(Personal Interview):About PI,it is the toughest round of the whole selection process as the candidates are grilles one by one by some of the brilliant minds of the India.Overall, first you clear CAT,then you get to sit for the next three rounds. From there, the best guys are chosen to get into IIMs.
The new IIMs conduct a test called CAP test. They do not have GD or PI. You get a seat in one of the new IIMs through your CAP score.
So you need to work really hard to get a call from iim
I wish you all the best.
Cheers !!

Hence, you need to appear for CAT and GMAT as entrance exams.
Your Background academic, Work experience, Graduation scores, CAT scores , GDPI rounds will be counted whike final Admission.
