Hii Varun. Punjab University is a very good university but its ratings are average for M.A. in Psychology. The faculty there for M.A Psychology are good but there's not much placement. The college will not do much, it will be mostly you and your hard work. I'll not say its the best choice. There are other better colleges too like
- Indian institute of psychology and research, Bengaluru.
- University of Calcutta.
- LPU Jalandhar
- Tata institute of social sciences, Mumbai.
- Hope this helped. Good luck!!

MA in psychology is a very good choice to made and yes it is available in Panjab University, Chandigarh with good placements. But as a student of Psychology as well as student of Panjab University. I will recommend you to take admission in DAV PG College sec10-D.
It is the best college for Psychology course in U.T Chandigarh with best Teachers.
DAV is affiliated to Panjab University Chandigarh
Rest all depends on your choice you can go with University or college affiliated to PU as well.
*Admission criteria for MA psychology is totally merit based no entrance test is required in Panjab University
*Minimum eligibility is 50% in B.A/B.sc with psychology as a subject
Hope it helps you
