hey there,

Difference b/w Xylem and phloem-

1. xylem is the dead tissue at maturity, but no cell contents. Phloem is the living tissue, but not with the nucleus .

2. Xylem often constitutes the bulk of the plant body. Phloem forms a small part of the plant body.

3. Xylem is responsible for transporting water and minerals from roots to other parts of the plant, whereas phloem is responsible for transporting food and organic compounds from leaves to other plant parts.

4. Movement in the xylem is unidirectional, whereas in the phloem it is bidirectional

5. The location of xylem is deep in the plant, in the centre of vascular bundle whereas the location of phloem is on the outer side of the plants vascular bundle
