Correct Answer: – 67
Solution : Given: 9, 5, 1, –3, –7, –11, .......................
The given series is an A.P. series and the concept used here is T n = a + (n – 1)d
where, a = first term, n = number of terms, d = difference between the consecutive terms and T n = last term of the series.
In the given series, a = 9, n = 20, d = – 4, T n = ?
T 20 = 9 + (20 – 1)(– 4)
T 20 = 9 + 19 × (– 4)
T 20 = 9 + (– 76) = 9 – 76 = – 67
Hence, first option is correct.
