Correct Answer: 1, 5, 3, 4, 2

Solution : Given:
1. Assign 2. Associate 3. Assist 4. Assistant 5. Assignment

Step 1: Compare the first, second, and third letters of each word. Since the first, second, and third letters of the words are the same A, s, and s , then move on to the next letter.
Step 2: The fourth letter of each word is either i , or o . Based on the alphabetical order of these letters, we can arrange them – Ass i gn, Ass i st, Ass i stant, Ass i gnment, Ass o ciate.
Step 3: Compare the fifth letter of (Assi g n, Assi s t, Assi s tant, Assi g nment). Assign and Assignment will come before Assist, and Assistant in the sequence as g comes before s in the alphabetical system.
Step 4: Now compare (Assign, Assignment) and (Assist, Assistant). Assign will come before Assignment as the first six letters of Assign and Assignment are the same and Assign is a 6-letter word. Similarly, Assist will come before Assistant.

So, the sequence is Assign, Assignment, Assist, Assistant, Associate, or 1, 5, 3, 4, 2. Hence, the first option is correct.
