Solution : Given: The 16th of June 2001 is Saturday.
Calculate the days between 17th of June 2001, and 21st of June 2009. From 17th of June 2001 to 16th of June 2009 ⇒ (8 × 365) + 2 = 2922 (2 days are added as there are two leap years 2004 and 2008.) From 17th of June 2009 to 21st of June 2009 ⇒ 5 days Total number of days = 2922 + 5 = 2927 On dividing 2927 by 7 we get 1 as the remainder. So, 1 day after Saturday will be Sunday.
So, the 21st of June 2009 will be Sunday. Hence, the third option is correct.
