Correct Answer: Only Conclusions I and II follow
Solution : The possible Venn diagram, according to the given statements is as follows –
Let's analyse the conclusions – Conclusion (I): Some coats being gold is a possibility – It is a possibility that the circle representing gold overlaps the circle representing coats. So, it can be concluded that s ome coats being gold is a possibility. Conclusion (II): No gold is a mirror – From the Venn diagram, it is evident that there is a negative relation between tables and mirrors, and since all golds are tables, definitely it can be concluded that no gold is a mirror. Conclusion (III): All tables are gold – From the Venn diagram, it is evident that some parts of the circle representing tables lie outside the circle representing gold. So, it can be concluded that some tables are gold, but not all. Conclusion (IV): No coat is a mirror – From the Venn diagram, it is evident that there is no direct relation relation between coats and mirrors. Thus, no definite relation can be drawn. So, this conclusion does not follow.
So, the conclusions I and II follow. Hence, the third option is correct.
