Solution : According to the given statements, the following Venn diagram can be drawn –
Let's analyse the conclusions – Conclusion I: No snake is a goat – From the above diagram, it can be seen that there is some part between the circle of the snake and the goats. Therefore, this conclusion does not follow. Conclusion II: Some ducks are snakes is a possibility – From the above diagram, it can be seen that there is no direct relation between ducks and snakes but a possible relation can be drawn from it as shown below –
Therefore, this conclusion follows. Conclusion III: Some ducks are not goats – From the above diagram, it can be seen that there is no direct relation between ducks and goats and some ducks may or may not be goats. But some ducks can never be goats as those goats are eagles and eagles can not be ducks. Therefore, this conclusion follows.
Therefore, only conclusions II and III follow. Hence, the second option is correct.
