distance of point (1,2,3) from x axis?
Greetings!
It's simple; distance of the point ( 1,2,3) from x axis =( ( 1-1)^2 + (2-0)^2 +( 3-0)^2 )^1/2 by using distance formula
= ( 0+ 4+ 9 ) ^1/2
= 13^1/2
So, the given point is at the distance of 13^1/2 units from the x-axis.
thankyou
hello,
your answer is not clear to me. for x axis the y=0;
and for y axis , x=0: but the point (1, 2, 3 ) defines what. please define it on comment section. and what is the co ordinate terms of this.
