do government seat in private medical colleges seek more than 1,41,000 in karnataka in the name of donations?
Admission in government medical college as well as private medical college is based on NEET score.
Admission is based on marks and ranks secured in NEET examination and other factors are also taken into consideration like reservation ( based on caste), number of seats available, All india quota and state quota etc. The fees in government medical college is quite economical where colleges top college like AIIMS Delhi - All India Institute of Medical Sciences charge only 6,875 for MBBS course. IMS BHU - Institute of Medical Sciences Banaras Hindu University charge 1,64,307. So, varies from college to college.
On the other hand in private colleges the fees is in lakhs. For example KMC Mangalore - Kasturba Medical College charge 70 lakhs rupees for MBBS. St Johns Medical College, Bangalore charges around 25 lakhs rupees.
Now, in some private colleges, candidates who have qualified NEET but couldn't get enough marks to secure a seat in any private medical college, they can take admission through management quota where you can pay some amount and can get admission and few seats are reserved in management quota and this is not actually donation rather its a leagal process . But if any third person is asking you to for donation and helping in admission in return then i would say don't fall into this trap. Prepare well for neet and take admission in leagal ways.
