Yes, you need to renew your EWS certificate every year as it would be required in your college. It is valid for only a year so if it is not renew you might face problem if you are asked for it suddenly. I would suggest you to renew or else the concession you are  getting your fees that you would not get if you are unable to provide your EWS certificate.
