Do we have any language problem if we study in South medical college
But during clinical posting while interacting with patients and history taking one might feel difficulty if one does not know the native language
And that's the main thing to elicit proper history and explain treatment plan to patient .
Yes u get a little problem when u try to talk to locals there. But most of them understand Hindi or else English. I myself am in Karnataka. I faced little problem while talking to patients. Otherwise not a big deal.
If you dont know language of the south state where you are going, I suggest you shouldn't take college there, as south languages are particularly hardest to learn for a North Indian.. U can try and take college there in 1st Counselling, but will leave in 2nd Counselling for sure, as did many of the candidates I know personally.. Classes and Demonstration are generally held in their local language.. Also the patients u will be encountering, generally don't know English or Hindi.. Rest is your own decision..
All the Best for future..
