the answer will depends upon lots of factors such as the college's you are interested in and the career options .many have told me that yes both are equivalent but i think doing m.tech separately will be of little higher value then integrated btech. as i have seen less placements in integrated b.tech in conparison to separate m.tech .however if you are doing integrated m.teech from a very good college then this will be enough and equivalent to separate m.tech

Hi ! I can provide you the answer for this. Well, doing 4 years of b.tech and then doing 2years of m.tech posses much more value than dual degree of b.tech and m.tech. In this case getting a product based company is more liable and easy to get. In this case you will have two seperate degrees which will give a good impression to a product based company.
