Does GK section of XAT 2019 follow the same pattern for negative marking? Is the threshold for 12 question include question from GK section?
As per the XAT 2019 exam pattern, the exam will be of 3 hours or 180 minutes divided into four sections carrying objective type questions or say Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There would be negative marking for incorrect answers as well. It would be conducted in 3 hours instead of 3 hrs and 35 minutes. Every question carries one mark which means candidates will get one marks for the right answer. There is negative marking as well. 0.25 marks or 1/4th of the total marks of a question will be deducted for an incorrect response. Unattempted questions also have negative marking. Last year, beyond 8 unattempted questions, there was a deduction of 0.05 marks per unattempted question.
XAT Entrance Exam comprises of four sections, namely VA & LR, DM, QA & DI, and GK. There will be 25 questions from GK section. Each question will carry 1 mark and for each wrong answer, 1/4th of the total marks allotted to a question will be deducted. There is negative marking of 0.05 marks also involved for unattempted questions as well, beyond 8.
