does ignou offer bsc in biotechnology and agriculture? is there any entrance exam for these two field? does ignou only offer distance courses. or there are also course with regular classes
IGNOU offers following courses under school of Agriculture
Post-Graduate Diploma in Plantation Management and Food Safety and Quality Management
Post-Graduate Certificate in Agriculture Policy
Diploma in Dairy Technology, Production of Value Added Products from Cereals, Pulses and Oilseeds, Value Added Products from Fruits and Vegetables, Fish Products Technology, Watershed Management, Meat Technology
Certificate in Sericulture, Water Harvesting and Management, Poultry Farming, Bee Keeping, Organic Farming
There are awareness programs which are Non-Credits on Value Added Products from Fruits and Vegetables, Dairy Farming.
Biotechnology courses are offered at pg level as
M.S. in Biotechnology with specialisation in following areas;
Applied Biotechnology
Bioinformatics
Molecular Medicine
Stem Cell Biology
Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
Software Technologies
And, when it comes to entrance exams conducted by IGNOU, it's only for specific courses such as MBA, BEd, PhD etc.
The IGNOU OPENMAT 2020 exam will be held on September 15. The admit card will be available from August 31 onwards.
There are no bachelor's degree course for agriculture and biotechnology at IGNOU.

IGNOU does not offer any course in Biotechnology but you can apply for BSc course of IGNOU in which you can choose Life Science electives along with Chemistry electives.Life Science electives are combination f Botany and Zoology electives.After completion of you BSc with Life Science electives and Chemistry electives you can appear in all India level Combined entrance examination for admission in MSc Biotechnology course of Indian universities.
