Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi was established in the year 1985. IGNOU New Delhi is a government-owned co-ed university. IGNOU has been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by NAAC receiving an ‘A++’ grade. Courses are offered at IGNOU at four levels, which include diploma, UG, PG, and Ph.D. levels.
The courses at IGNOU are available in distance and online study modes. Popular courses offered by IGNOU include BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, MBA, MCA, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Phil, Ph.D and others. IGNOU also offers several certificates, diplomas, PG diplomas and advanced diploma courses.
The candidates should meet the IGNOU eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the courses. Admissions to IGNOU are offered based on merit in the qualifying examination as well as marks obtained in entrance examinations. IGNOU conducts national-level entrance examinations for admissions to B.Ed, M.Phil and Ph.D courses. It also accepts scores obtained in GATE, UGC-NET and other exams for Ph.D admissions.
The fee structure at IGNOU depends on the course chosen by the candidate. The IGNOU fees for the courses range from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 69,000. IGNOU Delhi provides many facilities for its students, staff, and faculty on campus as well as at the regional study centers. Facilities available at the New Delhi headquarters of IGNOU also include a library, auditorium, medical aid, and so on.
The university has a separate placement cell on campus that handles all the placement activities. IGNOU New Delhi placement cell organises placement drives and invites top recruiters for the drive. Infrastructure is very good and well managed. Here good environment you seen, and you got best experiences and practical classes with good equipments with good teachers. Best practical classrooms and computer lab. Hostel provides good food with good hygiene. All the places are cleaned daily because housekeeping department is here.
Overall infrastructure is good. Classrooms have wifi and Ac's. laboratories are well maintained and clean. Sports centre are also well maintained. Hostels are also good. All the facilities and equipment are available
