done a diploma in civil engg. from govt. college and if i will take admission in IGNOU or SOL in which year i will get as a lateral entry?

its really cool that you have completed the diploma in civil eng while if you join the CIVIL only you will be admitted to 2nd year in the engineering while if you go for alternative branch the you will be admitted for 1st year
