Hello Aspirant,  According to me DTU is better than  jalandhar in all respect like faculty,  Academics, infrastructure and everything but not placement. Because the placement of NIT is better than DTU jalandhar. So Now this is up to you in which college you want to go.

I hope this will help you.

Hello Shaurya

Hands down, DTU anyday. See, average package of Mechanical goes around 8–9 lakhs per annum and highest packages around 15–20 lakhs per annum.

I want to make you realise of the fact that mechanical deals with Tech Jobs that certainly leads to low packages in the starting but increases once you gain experience in a year.

But the companies that hire are excellent no doubt which ensures your guaranteed growth like Maruti,Hero,Mercedes Benz,Honda,Siemens, and many more. The list really goes wrong.

Dear aspirant

If u join any NIT Jamshedpur, you will surely be called NITians (for which many die to be called as such). As far as the culture is concerned u will get better culture and environment at DTU since its national capital and u will surely get ample resources to boost and build yourself. Many a times students after getting admitted in engineering college think of preparing for TOFEL, CAT, UPSC etc.for which Delhi is best place to get coaching. So in that perspect DTU has upper hand.

If u are concerned for the campus placement then be sure u will get a good placement if u are from any NITs or u belong to DTU. But sometime some companies do prefer to visit those places where there is least convenience problem. I have heard that a particular company turned down the request to visit the campus just because there is no airport there.... So before deciding do keep these things un mind

But do remember in the end it will just gonna be your priorities that you'll have there. Make your graduation memorable. Good luck!!

Hi dear,

Hope you are doing well!

Now let's go through your question.

So in my opinion, go for DTU mechanical. It is one of the best branches as far as placements are concerned. All top companies visit the campus such as Bajaj, Volvo, Daimler-Benz, Brahmos Aerospace, Technip, Schlumberger, Caterpillar, etc. Also, many of my friends from Mechanical Engineering have been easily placed with hefty packages in top companies.

Furthermore, DTU has a lot of mechanical technical teams which can help you learn so much about your branch.

Thank You & All the best!
