Hello,
Hope you are doing great! Here's your answer!
The University of Delhi (DU) will launch the Bachelor in Science (B.Sc) Honour in Environmental Studies from the next academic year, 2021 onwards.
Admission to most of the undergraduate courses at the University is based on cut-off marks wherein ‘best of four’ marks of Class 12th subjects are considered. In the admission process for honours courses, one of the best 4 subjects includes a major. But, this might not be possible in case of BSc (Hons) Environmental Studies as most schools do not offer the subject at the school level. Schools under CBSE do not have Environmental Science (EVS) as an elective subject in Class 12.
BSc (Hons) Environmental Science will be a three-year course, having 140 credits spread over 26 papers. Students will have to pass 8 electives and 4 ability-enhancement courses, out of which, two will be skill enhancement papers in the entire six-semester duration, as per UGC guidelines.
Hope it will help!
Thank you!
