Hello Aspirant,

All the IITs have  good placement offers.

But the top IITs have had record of  giving  placement to almost all the students.

Also, getting a placement offer also depends upon your scores of all 4 years, your resume, your active participation in academic and extra curricular activities and other related things. A company not always sees the academic background, but also other things mentioned above. . So, now, between electrical engineering and mechanical engineering of all the IITs are good. But , at last, it depends on your interest that which branch you want to opt to.

Also, another factor also comes into picture 9f your location. Sometimes, students leave the IIT that they may get only due to the fact that it's very gar away from home. So, that also depends on you on which one to take.

But, between electrical and mechanical engineering, firstly, you have to see the contents and syllabus for each branch. If you have interests in circuits theory or electric devices then electrical is the good branch for you. But, if you ha e interest in machines, their parts, and subjects related to it, then you may go fir mechanical.

Hope that helps. Good luck
