Eligibility for MBBS in JIPMER and rules and regulations

Hiii... As per website JIPMER MBBS eligibility criteria is:-



Nationality :- Candidate must be an Indian national/Overseas citizens of India.





Non-resident Indians/Overseas citizens of India :- NRI/OCI candidates who are registered under section 7A of citizenship Act of 1955 can also appear in JIPMER MBBS 2017 entrance examination. It must be noted that NRI/OCI citizens will be considered for admissions under general category only.





Age limit to appear in JIPMER MBBS 2017





Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete the same on or before December 31, 2017





Candidates shoule be born or before January 1, 2001





Any request for age relaxation will not be considered irrespective of candidates category





There is no maximum age limit





educational qualifications :-





A candidate appearing in JIPMER MBBS 2017 must have mandatory passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, including practical classes) with English as elective subject as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT)





Unreserved/General category





Candidates belonging to unreserved/General category must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with at least 50% marks taken together in all the subjects.





Reserved/Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes





Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with at least 40% marks taken together in all the subjects.





Orthopedic Physically Challenged





OPH candidates in belonging to General category must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with at least 45% marks taken together in all the subjects.

Nationality:



Candidates should be an Indian National.



Overseas Citizen of India (OCI):



OCI registered candidates are also eligible to appear in the test.The candidates have to submit the proof of Registration as OCI under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 on the day of counseling.OCI candidates will be considered as unreserved category candidates.



Foreign nationals:



Foreign national candidates have to take permission from the Medical Council of India before applying for courses in the Institution.It is also necessary to submit the advance copy of application and request to MCI at JIPMER, Puducherry before the last date of receipt of applications.



Age Limit:



Candidates should complete the age of17 yearsat the time of admission.Candidates must born on or before 1st January 2002*.There is no relaxation in age limit for reserved category candidates.There is no upper age limit.

* This is for last yr. So this yr will be 2003.

Qualification Criteria



Qualifying Exam: Candidates should pass the 12th/Higher Secondary/Indian School Certificate or equivalent examination from any recognized board/university.



Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology are the main subjects to having in the qualifying exam. However, it is also necessary to have English subjects with one elective subject.



Minimum Marks: Candidate must score the minimum of 50% marks (for GEN), 40% marks (OBC/SC/ST/OPH) & 45% marks (GEN-OPH) in PCB stream.



Eligibility Certificate: Candidates those have passed the qualifying examination other than the above mentioned subjects have to produce the eligibility certificate.Eligibility certificate must be issued by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi for OCI/NRI candidates.
