Engineering exams are almost similar in their composition. Almost all exams have a similar syllabus and marking scheme.
The main entrance exams are JEE mains and JEE advanced. Qualifying JEE mains enables you to qualify for giving JEE advanced. These days every college admits students based on their JEE mains result and you can even get into an NIT or an IIT based on your performance.
