According to my suggestion is considered nowadays competition is increasing more and more right so engineering is good or better only if you have the real passionate in the particular field and area other wise the engineering is not good else you can opt for the degree

Both are equivalent. If You have good marks in boards then it is better to go for an engineering degree. Because in this area of study not only you have to learn but you will get end number of opportunity after completion of this course. So it is better to study engineering degree from a good recognized university which obviously provide placements.
