Hello Ashiqnaseer

Pursue the field in which you are comfortable and feel that you can do something better and contribute significantly too. Yeah nowadays people only wants to pursue MBA to get placed. Let me tell you doing MBA is not a short cut to get placed. Making yourself worthwhile is imperative to achieve.

Giving you a clear picture of market demand, Btech with MBA is market demand. For finance B.Com with MBA and operations field is alfo an emerging at high pace. You will get placed only if you have proper knowledge about it . And an adage goes like this " do what you love and love what you do". So think about long term goal.

Incase you want to go for Btech, you should have passion for it because is there crowd too. What makes to stand apart is your zeal and curiosity and only achieving degree should be in your mind. And learning should be your only goal.

Though Science graduate do not have value in our country but US and Germany offering scholarships for science students to study there and get placed.

So immense opportunity is there awaiting, just focus on your learning part and growing with it.

Good luck for your career ahead

Hello

Please do not feel the pressure from others. BBA is a very good and relevant degree in todays world. Also if you are doing BBA then you will get extra points for diversity that will help you get advantage over other engineers to get admission in MBA colleges.

Also as a fresher you can get a starting job depending upon the field of work and your aptittude. You can expect around 15k-50k depending upon the opportunity and skillset. BBA and MBA does not mean you need to work in banks only. You can choose marketing ,HR, operations ets in any MNC and get a devent job profile.SO to get a job as a fresher or to pursue MBA are completely subjective questions and depends upon your current level of preparation and the level of risk you can take. So take some time to think and reach a decision for yourself. All the best.

Hi Ashiq,

There are lots of people who elects to go for a commerce degree after taking science in 12th standard. There is no problem regarding that. You have to decide for yourself if you want to do an MBA after your undergraduate studies. It would be ideal if you could take up a job for a couple of years and do an MBA. Joining an MBA straight after undergrad is also not a bad idea but it totally depends on your interest. Rather than looking at the salary you should aim to join a top-ten institute for your MBA,

All the best for your future.

Hey Ashiqnaseer ,

It's not an issue, whatever course you took in your undergraduate. I was a science student till twelfth, but end up taking English Honors in my graduation. So, it won't make any difference in case you are aiming for MBA. Rather, doing a BBA will be helpful before doing MBA. The best course to choose in MBA in case you don't want to do hardcore Finance is Sales. Most of the well-known companies from top B-schools pay a huge salary in the sales Domain. For instance: Companies like ITC, Godrej and L'Oreal. So, prepare well and ace MBA exam.

Hi Ashiq,

No its not at a challenge for anyone who opt for BBA. Scoring a good CAT percentile does not depends on whether you are an enginner or a BBA degree holder. It depends on how much efforts you have put to prepare for CAT.

After completeing BBA you can get around 20K-40K, it depends on which complany and which proflie you get after completing your graduation.

Now, I would suggest not to be so much concerned about job after MBA. Focus on preparing for CAT and if you score well then you will be getting a very good B-School. Salry would not be a big issue after getting into an elite B-school.

Stop worrying about salary , just makeup your mind first whether you want to go for MBA or you want to do a job after graduation. If going for MBA, then focus on preperation as salary is secondary.

All the Best
