Explain Ghandhian Approach to politics and identify its core elements???
Dear student,
Gandhi approach to politics was based on peaceful coexistence & anti imperialism. Some Core elements of the Gandhian Approach are mentioned below.
Truth :
Satyamev Jayate is the focus theme of Gandhi Ji politics. He emphasizes on honesty & direct resolution of issues with common people at a sabha.
Non-violence :
Ahinsa is an important component of his weapon against tyranny in Satyagraha. The freedom struggle against British colonialism was led by Gandhiji with the weapon of satyagraha of which non- violence in absolute sense prevails.
Communal Harmony:
This is the third most important component of Gandhi's philosophy. Gandhiji pitched for a perennial Hindu-Muslim Unity as a prerequirement to counter British's ‘divide & rule’ policy. He was against separate electorates for Muslims & concretely oppose the communal politics of Muslim League & it's leaders.
Anti-imperalism :
The basic premise of imperialism, he contends, are expolitation, inherent disrespect of human rrights & injustice. His stay in South Africa was his golden opportunity to understand the woes of the the subjects. British's utter disrespect for Indians & indigenous black Africans was a mere consequence of it's deep belief in racism & racial discrimination.
Hope this helps.
