From where can I start my UPSC preparation.. I'm in 12th from CBSE board..should I go for reference books from class 6th-12th OR NCERT

Yes, starting from those books will be great for you.Basics is form ncert only.UPSC is government exam and books issued by govt should never be neglected.For preparation of upsc it totally depends on you whether to go for coaching or you can prepare by yourself and for this you will have to go through entire syllabus.One thing is that you will have to be graduated to appear in this examination.
