The GATE questions basically include MCQ - Multiple Choice Questions and NAT - Numerical Answer Type Questions. Sections are General Aptitude section in all papers. The mandatory General Aptitude (GA) section will have 10 questions. Five of the questions will be of one mark and the remaining five will be of two marks each. The total marks for this section will be 15 marks. For one mark MCQs - 1/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. For two mark MCQs – 2/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong response. Zero marks will be provided for unanswered questions. No negative marking will be done for NAT questions. There are 65 questions (100 marks). Following are the topics:
