Hope this helps.
I consider first way good for JEEADVANCED (due to sectional cutoffs) and second way good for Jee mains(no sectional cutoffs, total marks matters).
In second way,if you score, say in chemistry about 100/120,then your task simplies to getting 75 each in maths+physics or in general 150/240 from maths+physics.
But keep one thing in mind while following second way,at least maintain regularity in studies. Even for 1 hour in a day (on days that you are not interested to study), revise what you have studied till date. It will not utilize your brain much and best part is that it will help in continuous revision.
Now apart from these planning things, I would suggest you to follow 1 book each for every subject. People generally do mistake here and end up nowhere. DO NOT READ 90 BOOKS FOR 1 TOPIC . ITS BETTER TO COMPLETE 90% FROM 1 BOOK. Every book is good but I would recommend you some:
Physics:-
1: HC VERMA(numericals)
2: NCERT(THEORY)
chemistry:- ONE AND ONLY "NCERT".
maths:- Tata McGraw hill
If you complete even 80-90% of each of the above mentioned in coming two years you will get 250+ and you will land in top 3 NITs for sure.
