So you got 74362 rank in VIT exam. I am going to tell you the complete procedure for counselling, the category system and the branches closing rank for both vit Vellore and Chennai campus.

First, we will talk about the rank. In 74k rank it is nearly impossible to get CSE, IT or ECE.

The first 20k rank holders are called for the phase1 counseling .

From 20k to 50k are called for phase 2 counselling. Then 50k - 75 k for 3 phase and upto 1 lakh in 4 phase .

In the category one the fees is usual , in second category the fees is increased by 50k to 1 lakh. In 3 category it is increased by 1.5 lakh and increased by 2.5 lakh in 4 category.

Talking about vit Vellore campus

The closing rank of CSE is near 7000.

ECE - it is near 14500

EEE - it is near 15500

Mech - near 20000

IT - near 12000

Biomedical- near 40000

Biotechnology- near 25000.

So as you can figure out getting any branch will be very difficult with your rank in main campus but you can get biotech or biomedical in last round in chennai campus . From my side I will strongly suggest you to not take admission with low branch in VIT because I know the real picture of placement from these colleges. Or it is also possible that they provide you some branch in their new campus like Bhopal . Don't go for it bro.

But there is management quota also through which you can get any branch even CSE but for that you need to pay around 5 lakh donation and then high fees. So now it's upto you.

But there are other good options too where you can get admission and they will be better than VIT. There are some very good colleges in bangalore like RV,BMS,Ramaiah etc.

Sorry to inform you that if you belong to general category you will not get any branch as to get admission through VITEEE you have to get rank at least 20K. Since your rank is more than 20K you will not any seat through this entrance but I am sure you will get admission in engineering with any other entrance test.
