Some general laptop configurations.

For students

  • 8GB ram if you do video editing and hardcore multitasking you can go with 16GB of ram.
  • i5 current generation processor.
  • Good battery life.
  • Backlit keyboard will be better.
  • Good display.
  • Graphics card like mx150 will be better for graphic intensive apps like Photoshop and CAD.
  • If your budget is not sufficient for above specifications go with 8GB ram and i3 processor.You can add graphics card for Photoshop work etc..

For daily mails and MultiMedia and for home.

  • 8GB ram if you do hardcore multitasking you can go with 16GB of ram.
