Congratulations!! You got very nice score 79.33 in EE stream. This year first time EE Gate score increases suddenly. Generally on this score AIR is below 50 but this year cutoff chances are more to increase. But no worry considering previous score  you have good score to get admission into IIT. In case of placements your academics matters but they majorly focus on your 4 year curriculam and extra curriculam. Also the cv shortlisting mostly based on your cgpa you got in your academics. So dont worry about your 12th score it doesn't matter much.
