Hello, I have attempted a question in Jee mains and as per the provisional answer key by NTA, it is correct and I am getting total X marks considering that. Now my query is, if that question is dropped and 4 bonus marks awarded to all, will my total marks be X+4 or remain as X? Please advise.

Hello.

If a question is dropped by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the JEE (Mains) examination, every student attending that Session will get 4 marks, even if they have attempted it or not. Students who have attempted it incorrectly will also get 4 marks and those who have attempted correctly. Hence, equal marks will be given to all the candidates. Your marks will not be increased and will remain X.

I hope this helps.
