With a rank of around 22,000 in obc category, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the NIT's when comparing the results of previous years. It also depends on the state you belong to. But, the closing ranks for the NIT's were around 2,000 for the top NIT's. Also, One thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats, by which nothing can be predicted for sure. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection
