Well, You haven't told if you are HS(home state) or AI(all india), But in both scenario chances of Electrical stream are very less in specifically Jadavpur University, But there are 50-80 options for you in other colleges through WBJEE.

Yes you will get chances to pursue Electrical engineering by acquiring 650 in general category in govt. colleges/ universities other than Jadavpur University. For getting EE in JU you need to get less than 500. You can get admission in other govt colleges like KGEC, JGEC etc.
