Hi,
I m assuming that you will be aiming for Home Quota seats and are from GEN Category (since you mentioned neither)
Closing rank for NIT Durgapur (2020) is 29719
and in special round, it increases to 30033
Now, marks and percentile are different for each year so there is no "minimum marks required criteria" but there is a safe marks limit, which you should cross to have a good chance in getting course and college of your choice. For NIT Durgapur EE it is higher than 120 marks in JEE Main.
now for IIST Shibpur closing rank is 22481
which means you need to am for 130+ marks to be on the safe side.
If you have a further specific query please feel free to comment.
Best of Luck.
Considering you are from West Bengal State and have the Home State Domicile Quota, and from General Category the last cutoff at Electrical Engineering IIEST Shibpur this year was 23.4k, while that at NIT Durgapur EE was 29k. So you see you need a minimum target of 20k in JEE Mains for securing a seat in either of NIT Durgapur or IIEST Shibpur, further depending on your choice.
For a Rank of 20k-25k in JEE Mains, considering the increasing competition as well as the liberalisation with more number of students attempting as well as getting a chances to improve their scores in between JEE Mains with 4 Phases of the Examination, you should Target a minimum of 98 percentile for achieving this feat, for which you would nearly need 50% of the Total Score, i.e 150/300. You need both a proper strategy and regular hardwork to achieve this feat. Hope that helps.
