If you aim to become an IAS Officer, you need to have the following skills:
1. Ability to analyse possibilities and make decisions
2. Ability to determine right and wrong, depending on the consequences of policy
3. Be compassionate enough to remove sufferings of the people
4. Judge any situation fairly
5. Possess transparency to observe the actions and then decide.
IAS officer has the duty to maintain the law and order and support people during any crisis. In order to get selected in this job, you need to appear in the UPSC Main and prelims examinations and interviews too. After selection, you can undergo training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration.
Average approximate salary is Rs 131614 in India.
