Hi I am class 8 th student presently studying in 8th standard and planning my 9 th and 10th in UAE. My Pre university college will be continued in india. please tell me whether i come under NRI category when I go for my professional education ? do I have to pay extra fee or should I be giving exams

to become eligible for NRI QUOTA You need to satisfy the below criteria,
You must be Son/Daughter of an NRI / Foreign National, must have qualified from a School/College located abroad
You must be living in abroad for at least 5 years
You must be citizen/passport holder of a foreign country
You must have a valid certificate mentioning the Foreign Student / NRIs status issued by a competent authority.

Yes my mother is working and I will be sponsored under her. I am just curious that NRI students have to pay more than resident students. So if I study only 9 and 10 th in UAE and PUC to be continued in India then I will be considered as a resident or NRI when I apply for medical or engineering?

you need to stay in abroad atleast of 5 years, also considering the other factors.
