Hi Archanaa,
NEET and JIPMER exams are quite easy, if you start early and manage your time well. NEET exam pattern is as follows,
Total number of questions = 360
Physics = 45
Chemsitry = 45
Biology = 90 (Botony = 45, Zoology = 45)
This is a 180 minutes exam. And the standard of the exam is quite easier than JIPMER exam.
1. Be thorough with the NCERT books. Cultivate the habit of reading the NCERT books line by line regularly.
2. For physics practice, you can go for HC Verma. This would be mandatory for Jipmer, but if you find the standards a bit high for NEET preparation, you can always go for better work books like GRB Objective Physics .
3. For Chemistry, concepts are very important, so I would suggest you to go for Modern's ABC of Chemistry .
4. Apart from this, keep practicing NEET previous year question papers.
On the other hand, JIPMER pattern is a bit different,
Total number of questions = 200
Biology = 60
Chemistry = 60
Physics = 60
English, Language and Comprehension = 10
Logical and Quantitative Reasoning = 10
This is a 150 minutes exam, and thus time management is very important.
The standards of this exam is quite high compared to NEET, and thus NCERT books would not be sufficient.
1. For physics, you can go for HC Verma and GRB Objective Physics . Or any other book for objective Physics, like 'Errorless'.
2. For Chemistry, stick on to Modern's ABC of Chemistry as it cover all the concepts in depth and for the organic part, make sure you practice a lot. MS Chauhan's Organic Chemistry would help.
3. For Biology, the best book you can go for is Trueman's Elementary Biology . It has in-depth theory.
Starting your preparation as early as possible is wise. Going through extra materials in the neck of the moment before the exams is not advisable. Also, stick on to fewer books and be confident in them. That would do wonders.
All The Best.
