Nit andhrapradesh is one of the new emerging nit that has been established by the indian govt for the benefit of the students in andhra pradesh and to improve the technical education in the andhra pradesh.
The seat filling in the nit ap is done based on the jee main score and the counselling is done by the jossa counselling .
The Bachelor of Technology admissions for Indian students are based on JEE Mains exam and ranks will be given on the basis of score obtained. The B.Tech admissions for foreign students are not taken currently.
So in order to get a seat in the nit ap you need to clear the jee mains exam and the eligibity to write the hee exam are
Age Criteria:NTA has removed the age limit. However, candidates need to pass 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2017, 2018 or should be appearing for the same in 2019 in irrespective of their birth date.
Qualifying Examinations:Must have passed class 12 or equivalent exam in 2017 or 2018. Also, candidates appearing for class 12 board examination in 2019 will be also eligible for JEE Main 2019.
Subjects to be Qualified in Qualifying Examination:Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject, Language and any other subject
Qualifying Marks for Admission into IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs:Must score the minimum of 75% marks or should be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category minimum scores required is 65%.
So only the inter marks are not the criteria for the selection into nit ap so you need to have good jee main score also.
Though you belong to home state but you need to qualify the jee main exam.

I got 75. 5 percentile in jee mains and I was qualified under OBC category. So now can I get seat in NIT AP. Please explain in detail
