delhi university has made mathematics as one of the mandatory subject every candidates must having in their  10+2 and while counting your top four subjects you must include the mathematics even if you have not scored good .and if you are changing your stream like you are from science stream and now you are going for arts stream course then there will be a deduction in your percentage of either 2.5 percent or 5 percent depending on the college you get seat in .

You need to score a decent marks in maths for best of 4.just passing is not enough.

As maths is an integral part of the syllabus so you need to score a decent marks.
