Dear Aspirant, For getting a seat in OBC quota in NIT's or IIT's you have to show a OBC Certificate to the councillor at the Councilling centre at the time of Seat acceptance. The OBC certificate must be from certified government officers like SDO.The rule of OBC certificate is that your annual income should be below 8 lakh then only you will come in non-creamy layer.if your family annual income exceed 8 lakhs then you are in Creamy layer hence not applicable in OBC quota.
