Hi, I've recently completed BCA and wish to do MCA atm. But I wish to do so from a recognised institution where I only have to show up for my exams and not actually attend the institution. I already have a job and the only earning member in family. I'm currently located in West Bengal.

As you mention that you currently completed your BCA.... after that you want to opt MCA... but you don't want to attend classes ..
so in this case distance learning for MCA is the best option.. there are top colleges in India for MCA distance learning and this colleges are:

there are another option a part of distance learning is that you can do your job with your mca degree program.... there are some companies which allows you to complete your study with job.
companies like TCS and Wipro have some program in which MC student Have allowed to study with their job .. TCS allow MCA from Sastra University and also provide job..same with wipro with allow MCA by bits and also provide job..
