HELLO SHYAMALA !!

Just relax . Their's no bad of you are confused it shows atleast you are concerned for career and not careless. SEE i am an engineering student and i am GRE aspirant ( masters from abroad), and i planned all this just few months back. so see you are ahead of me i palnned late after getting into B.tech but you are thinking of your career line since now.

So look one thing good about you that you know and are very clear that you want crack upsc. So just go for it buddy. Although as people say its a tough exam and lacs of students appear for this exam, but nothing is hard until you have hunger within to achieve your goal.

Now just plan for which UPSC exam you have to seek. Never come under other person's saying do what you think you can do better than any other. And search the coaching centre near to you not too far just to avoid your time in travelling or you can also crack from home internet is very beneficial if its used wisely.

atlast

step 1: BE clear for UPSC

step 2 : choose the mode for preparation.

step 3 : get set go.!!

KEEP YOURSELF MOTIVATED.!!

HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL !!

Hi Shyamala!

It is completely normal for a person to be confused about their career and the path they should take. In your case, you at least know that you want to crack UPSC which is a good start compared to millions of others who don't know which path to take!

The first thing you need to do is finalize on a course for graduation. For UPSC, you need to be at least graduate in any subject. For this, you will have to analyse what you are interested in and if you want to prepare for UPSC side by side, you will have to make sure that you select such a course that would be manageable. Once you know your interest, it will be easier for you to select a graduation course.

Next, you will have to figure out how you want to prepare for UPSC. UPSC is a tough exam and many candidates prefer to take coaching. But that doesn't mean that candidates who prepare by self cannot crack the exam! This step is entirely upto you. If you feel that you can prepare by yourself well and good or if you want to take coaching, search for good and reputable coaching centers in your area.

If you go for self-preparation, the internet will be your guide! Search for people who have cracked these exams and who write blogs about books they took help from and the books that can help you. Search for the pattern of exam, familiarise yourself with the basics.

I hope I have been able to help!

Good luck!
